Improved UtilityScan® Features with Software Update

GSSI, the world’s leading manufacturer of ground penetrating radar (GPR) equipment, announces the release of a software update for the UtilityScan system. The update, software version 1.3.16, offers several enhancements including an updated depth calibration, updated banding filter, new languages, general bug fixes, and diagnostics and troubleshooting improvements.

UtilityScan v1.3.16 is a free upgrade and is available for all UtilityScan tablet controllers. To access the software update, please visit the Resource Center at https://www.geophysical.com/support.

The UtilityScan GPR system features innovative technology and a compact size that makes it extremely portable and easy to maneuver in tight survey areas. With a robust new wireless antenna that can handle required data rates, UtilityScan is ruggedly built to withstand challenging field conditions. The electrical design uses GSSI’s patented HyperStacking technology, which has proven to increase depth penetration in challenging soils, while also providing high near surface data resolution. The UtilityScan has a backup Ethernet connection if WiFi is not allowed or desired at a site.
