    REVEAL WHAT'S HIDDEN

A large concrete grid, with 269 individual profiles totaling 4GB, was collected with Flex NX and assembled in Geolitix.

The data revealed highly detailed information about previous saw cuts and wire mesh layout, and helped to visualize an area of thicker concrete with rebar or conduit running along the bottom of an area of dipping mesh. Below the slab were multiple PVC pipes and a rodent burrow.

The multislice feature in Geolitix provided a full top-to-bottom view of the GPR slices by assigning different colors to targets at various depths. The resulting image provided a powerful mission-planning tool for any subsequent cutting, coring, or drilling projects.

    Import GPR Data Into Geolitix

This data set was collected with the UtilityScan system and Emild Reach GNSS receiver with NTRIP corrections to get the most accurate location for the utility mark out.

A ‘random walk’ looping pattern was done to collect the data outside of GSSI. This method drastically cuts down the data collection time compared to collecting data using a traditional grid method.

3D GPR Interpretation in Geolitix for Utilities

In this image, utilities were interpreted in 3D space and classified based on in-field context clues. Data was brought into Geolitix where it was sliced using the easy “Suggest parameters” tool.  In Geolitix software, interpretations can be exported in various formats, or a Public Link can be created to share the interactive 3D project directly with clients.

This entire process, from field collection to a shareable 3D model, demonstrates a highly efficient workflow for modern utility locating and damage prevention using GSSI GPR and Geolitix.

Better Understanding of Concrete GPR Data in Geolitix

3D Fence Diagram for Geological Data

This data was collected to investigate the stratigraphic relationship between late Pleistocene dunes and deltas in Merrimack, New Hampshire.

200 HS GPR profiles were collected with a RTK GPS, then imported into Geolitix where they were displayed in a 3D fence diagram with a satellite image for context. Digitization of major GPR reflectors was instrumental in fully visualizing and interpreting the stratigraphic sequence.

    Geolitix FAQs
    Did GSSI acquire Geolitix?

No. Geolitix remains an independent company with full autonomy and continues to be data agnostic. GSSI and Geolitix have formed a strategic partnership to bring the most modern post-processing software and the most powerful GPR equipment together, providing customers with the best possible value and experience.

If GSSI is offering Geolitix, what is the future of RADAN?

GSSI is fully committed to the continued support of RADAN. RADAN remains our flagship software for users who require the power and stability of an offline, desktop-based post-processing platform. We view Geolitix and RADAN as premier solutions for two different workflows, and we will continue to support both platforms.

With GSSI offering Fusion, RADAN 7, and Geolitix, how do I determine which software is the right choice for my business?

Choosing between GSSI Fusion, RADAN 7, and Geolitix depends entirely on your specific workflow. Each platform is designed to excel in a different role—from rapid field reporting with Fusion, to powerful offline desktop analysis with RADAN 7, or a flexible and modern cloud-based platform with Geolitix. To help you make the best decision, we’ve created a detailed comparison guide.

Explore our software page to see a comparison of our offerings and find your ideal software solution.

Can I upgrade from RADAN to Geolitix?

No, an upgrade path is not available because the licensing models are different. RADAN is sold as a perpetual subscription, which you own and can use forever. It is not a subscription that can be converted or upgraded to Geolitix.

What Geolitix packages does GSSI offer?

Through our partnership, we offer 2 year subscriptions of all three of Geolitix’s standard packages—Core, Plus, and Ultra—as well as an exclusive offering available only through GSSI called GSSI Select.

What is the GSSI Select package?

GSSI Select is an exclusive package designed for our customers. It provides a 2-year Geolitix subscription with a maximum project size of 4 GB and a total storage capacity of 600 GB. This plan is ideal for professionals and teams who want to lock in a fantastic value on a powerful cloud-processing platform.

Can I use data from older GSSI systems, like the SIR 3000, with Geolitix?

Yes, absolutely. Geolitix is designed to be compatible with data from a wide range of GPR systems, including legacy GSSI equipment like the SIR 3000, SIR 20, and legacy concrete scanners. You can easily transfer the DZT files from your control unit to a computer and then upload them directly to the Geolitix platform for processing.

Why should I buy Geolitix through GSSI?

Our strategic partnership allows us to offer you an exclusive discount on 2-year subscriptions for any Geolitix package. This extended term provides significant savings compared to the standard monthly or annual subscriptions that are available when purchasing directly from Geolitix, giving you the best value for your investment.

If I buy Geolitix from GSSI, who provides technical support and training?

You will receive the same world-class service you expect from GSSI. Our GSSI Academy, staffed by a dedicated team of full-time trainers provides both comprehensive training and ongoing technical support for Geolitix. They will be your primary point of contact to ensure you get the most value from your software.

Is my project data secure in the Geolitix cloud?

Absolutely. Geolitix is built on Amazon Web Services (AWS), a leading cloud platform that provides robust, multi-layered security. Geolitix has been audited and certified to comply with SOC 2 Type I standards, which verifies that robust security controls and practices are in place to protect customer data, ensure system reliability, and maintain the confidentiality and privacy of information across all operations and services.

What happens to my project data if my Geolitix subscription ends?

When your Geolitix subscription expires, your account enters a 90-day grace period. During this time, your project data is stored but cannot be accessed unless you renew your subscription. After these 90 days, all data associated with the account will be permanently deleted. We strongly recommend exporting any data you wish to keep before your subscription expires to ensure you have a local copy.

Do I have to use GSSI GPR equipment to buy Geolitix from GSSI?

No, you are not required to be a GSSI hardware user to purchase a subscription from us. Geolitix is data-agnostic, and we are happy to provide this modern software solution to any GPR professional.
