Each course addresses the main
steps for successful radar survey. Every class participant will
have the opportunity to set up the system, collect data, and
work with the post-processing software. A diploma is issued at
the end of the course according to the performance of each individual
student.
Please contact GSSI as soon as possible if you are interested
in a training class - class size is limited to 8 in order to
be most effective.
Training Course Descriptions
StructureScan Optical (3
days) - This course covers the operation of the StructureScan Optical
system to locate structural features in concrete to a maximum
depth of 18 inches. You will learn how to recognize targets in
GPR data, relate the data back to the concrete slab and produce
plan-view maps of targets.
UtilityScan (2 days) - This course covers the
operation of the UtilityScan system to locate and map utilities
through concrete, asphalt and soil. You will learn how to recognize
targets in GPR data, relate the data back to your survey area and
follow utilities as they move through the subsurface.
RoadScan (2 days)
BridgeScan (2 days)
RADAN Data Processing (3 days) - This course
is intended for those who have been working with the systems and
have their own data questions or those who want to go further
with post-processing software. This course will cover advanced
data processing and interpretation of data in both 2D and 3D. Prior
GPR experience required.

training classes in California. Course curriculum is identical
to courses offered at the New Hampshire headquarters. Students
