SUMMARY:Specialized Class: GPR For Archaeology
DESCRIPTION:Nashua\, NH: Ground Penetrating Radar for Archaeology is an advanced GSSI Academy course offering. The class covers relevant GPR theory\, the planning of geophysical fieldwork\, survey area layout and best practices\, data acquisition\, and post-processing techniques in GSSI’s RADAN 7 software. Also discussed are methods for integrating GPR data into other software platforms (like Surfer and ArcGIS). \nA fieldwork component will include gridded GPR data collection at a 19th-20th century historical site in Nashua\, New Hampshire. Class participants will then post-process collected datasets and learn how to interpret archaeological GPR data. \nPrerequisites for class participation include previous experience with GPR (>1 year preferred)\, familiarity with GPR post-processing and RADAN 7\, and experience with archaeological method and theory. GSSI highly recommends participation in UtilityScan and RADAN 7 classes prior to enrolling in this course.

SUMMARY:RADAN 7 Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Webinar: This two-day data processing webinar is designed for new and existing RADAN 7 users who want to learn how to use the program to post-process GPR data (all application areas are welcome). The webinar is an advanced class\, and GSSI recommends that students are very comfortable working in a Windows environment and have taken one of our system-specific training courses or have prior experience working with GPR. The class covers GPR signal processing and filtering\, 3D data analysis\, interactive analysis tools\, and data export. \nSample data will be provided prior to the class\, and attendees who have specific learning objectives are encouraged to bring their own datasets and questions\, which we can review during the training.
